About Our London Pottery Studio

Urban Potters Classes is a new pottery in South London. It is a well-lit, open space where students can develop their projects and share their experience. We offer wheel throwing classes, 6-week and 11-week courses, and private events.

Our sister studio Urban Potters, located just across the courtyard, offers memberships for those potters with some degree of experience who do not have their own workspace or equipment.

We have 8 wheels for throwers, big tables for hand builders, multiple sinks and generous shared shelving for work in progress.

We are located just down from Camberwell Green on the ground floor of a new residential development. There is a bus stop at the entrance to our courtyard with connections to London Bridge, Elephant & Castle, Brixton, Clapham, and beyond.

Our Student’s Kind Words:

“Went to urban potters for a taster session with 2 friends and we had such a blast! Our tutor/guide/potter was so wonderful and a patient with us, and was there to help whenever we needed. We went in as total beginners and after 2.5hrs on the wheel came away with skills and some pottery we were so happy with! Can’t wait to see our babies when they’re all fired up and glazed! Thanks so much urban potters, we’ll be back!”

— Alice Golds

“Had a great afternoon at a pottery class today. Very relaxed atmosphere with no pressure. It is clear that enjoying this craft is the main aim and this comes through. I thoroughly recommend trying it and picking up some pottery too. A very talented individual that creates beautiful pieces.”

— Alison Williams

“Loved the throwing taster class. Beautifully designed brand new studio with small class sizes. Adrian is a friendly and welcoming teacher who explains techniques clearly & patiently. The small class size allows you to get help whenever you need. Highly recommend if you’re looking to try pottery for the first time!”
