This is an 11-week pottery course in which you will learn the following:

  • Hand-building

  • Throwing on a wheel

  • Turning a pot

  • Surface decoration and glazing techniques

  • How to prepare and reclaim clay

  • Differences between earthenware and stoneware firing

What is provided?
Material and glazes are provided throughout the course. The pieces you decide to fire are charged at £4 per kg.

What should I bring?
Please bring an apron, a towel, a pen, and a notepad. We have a selection of tools but you may wish to bring your own.

How many wheels are there?
We have 11 wheels available. Please note that students will need to share the wheels if everyone wants to use them.

What is the size of the class?
This class caters for up to 16 students.
